GUILD POLICY

I. Recruiting

Goal: For raiding, Fires of Heaven recruits only serious and skilled players who are capable of consistently making our raid schedule.  Recruitment is done via application and personal Q & A.

Our raid schedule is as follows:

12:00AM - 3:00 PST on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.  9 hours total per week.

II. Guild Ranks

Guild Crafter:  Entry-Level members.

Member:  Our guild member rank.

Trial:  Rank for newly recruited raiders. Lasting only two weeks by default (may be increased to four by a qualifying officer) all loot will be available to them in raid as long as they are not rolling against a "Raider" or any rank above them and they are winning on PR against any other trials that may also be rolling with them.

Raider:  Any person in the guild that is raid eligible and is awaiting a spot in the Core Raider position. They are not guaranteed that they will get invited to every raid but are still expected to show up. They will be rewarded guild currency to purchase loot while online during raids they are not in to be used in the raids they are invited to.

Core Raider:  A special status that has 10 seats which permits priority raid invitations. Players in this status must be the top players of their role in Attendance, Survivability, and Output.

Class Leader:  Role Officers and Raid Leaders who assist in running raids and managing an existing roster.  Expected to be a high performer in raids, but are not automatically assigned reserved spots unless Raider criteria is met consistently.

Officer:  Moderators who are tasked with running the guild and making decisions. Expected to be a high performer in the guild and/or raids, but are not automatically assigned reserved spots unless Raider criteria is met consistently.

CoGm:  An administrator who acts on behalf of the GM in his absence. The CoGm has full authority and permission(s) over the guild and the decisions which would otherwise be made by the GM. Expected to be a high performer in both the guild and raids, but are not automatically assigned reserved spots unless Raider criteria is met consistently.

III. Loot Policy

Overview:  Fires of Heaven uses an EP/GP loot system for raids. When loot drops players will indicate that they are interested in the item through EPGPLootmaster or by whispering the Loot Master.  The player who has the higher priority will get the item.  For special progression-related circumstances only, Leaders have the ability to deviate from the priority system and reserve a potential drop for an individual or role (a very rare circumstance).

Earning EP/GP: You will earn 1000 EP every 15 minutes of raiding or being on the Wait List.

EP Totals:  EP is awarded and put into the website AFTER the raid is complete. Your PR will be based off of the EP you have on the site divided by the total of GP on the site and any GP you picked up in the current raid. We will always do our best to upload your EP and GP in a timely manor after a raid is complete.

EP/GP Decay: There is a 15% EP/GP decay each week to prevent inflation over time.

BOE Items / Selling & Gifting:  BOE items won via GP must be equipped immediately and validated.  We will only distribute BOE items that drop in raids to your mainspec - otherwise, they go to the bank or the AH.  Items you win with your GP cannot be gifted or sold to other players in or out of the guild.

Trial Status:  Trial Status starts with 0 EP and 1000 GP.  EP will begin accumulating immediately for Trial Status and you can indicate you would like an item that drops - but you will only win the item if non-Trial status Members have not expressed interest in the same drop (regardless of your current PR vs their PR).

Loot Reserve:  Guild Leadership maintains the right to place a potential drop on reserve for an individual or role.  Doing so will deviate from the EPGP priority system - but will still incur GP for the receiving party.  Any loot reserves will be stated prior to the raid either verbally or in the guild forums.  This rule is in place only for very special circumstances where the assignment of an item is mission critical to current and future raid progression (an example of this would be at the start of a new expansion where we despretly need our tanks to quickly obtain stronger gear/set bonuses to have the ability to survive incoming progression encounters).

IV. Raid Rules

Attendance Minimum:  Raider status and leaders are expected to maintain at least 85% attendance to maintain their head count in the raid roster.  Ideally you should strive to make 100% of our raids, but we do understand that real life exists outside of MMOs.

Raiding Inactivity:  You must post on the Sabbatical forum if you're going to miss a raid or be late.  No excuses.

Required Addons:  Ventrilo and a microphone are required for raiding.  You are also required to be running the most up-to-date version of EPGPLootmaster and EPGP, and either Deadly Boss Mods or another compatible Boss Mod.

The Wait List:  Sometimes you will be benched, it happens.  But that doesn't mean we wont need you at any point during the raid.  You may choose to stay available to the raid by joining the Wait List - and for doing this we will award you with the same EP gain as if you were in the raid.  To join simply whisper the current Loot Master "epgp standby" every 15 minutes for the duration of the raid.  You can do this through WoW Remote if you'd rather not be at your computer while on the Wait List.  If you are called on to raid while on the Wait List and fail to show up in a timely manner, expect to be penalized.

Raiding Outside of the Guild:  By joining a raiding guild - we now own your lockouts for content we do as a guild.  If you choose to use those boss lockouts to raid outside of the guild prior to the guild killing that specific boss - you are stealing from us.  And we don't like thieves. If you want to pug something, please ask a guild leader first for approval.

Alts and Raiding:  Generally, we do not bring alts to our raids.  If an odd situation arises where we request you to play your alt, your alt will act as your main for that raid for looting purposes.

Research:  You are expected to do your own research on new fights that you are not already familiar with.  Strategies will be posted in the Raiding forum and you are expected to participate in those discussions.  Since we aren't doing world firsts, our goal is to do as much work outside of the raid studying what has been done and works - so that we can minimize the learning time and progress faster.

Performance:  You are required to show up with the specs and gems/enchants required of your class to perform at it's highest. We want you to be competitive with others of your caliber and want you to strive to be the best at what you do. Everyone will be audited from time to time and if those audits are failed on a regular basis then your spot could be at risk.

Discipline:  We are a progression minded guild and with that comes a certain level of professionalism that we like to strive to maintain. That being said we really don't like interuptions while raiding. If it doesn't help the raid then leave it to yourself untill afterwards. We do like to joke around but we like to pride ourselves in our ability to pick the right time and place to do so. Those of you who are raiding with us will receive one warning when you are not following this mindset. After that warning you will have GP added to your current EP/GP values thus making loot harder for you to get. Continued violations will mean result in the loss of your rank or expulsion from the guild.

V. The Rest

Switching Mains or Roles:  Please discuss any plans for these changes with an Officer.

Patch Days:  All members are expected to log on early on patch days and make sure all of their addons are functional.  Don't waste our time telling us you're patching while we're sending out raid invites, you're expected to do thathours before a raid starts.

Website Use:  No porn or nudity in any forum that isn't prefaced with NSFW 18+ warnings.

Behavior:  We expect every single member to treat each other with respect and decency. If you are making someone uncomfortable with the things you say or do and they have made you (or us) aware that they want you to back off - you need to back off.  But at the same time, this is a mature guild and we do tend to joke a lot and use bad language and themes. We expect that you can exist in this environment and have fun. If you cannot, perhaps we are not a good fit for you.

Inactivity:  Players who are inactive for longer than 14 days may be removed at any time. If you know you need a leave of absence, let an officer know and we can grant you extra time.  If you're removed for inactivity, we'll likely reinvite you when you get back.

Gquit:  We want you here. We're not gearing you up for bigger and better things, we're gearing you up so that WE can do bigger and better things AS A GUILD. So if you quit - don't expect us to let you back in. This isn't a revolving door and we have limited patience for this type of crap.  If you're angry, we suggest logging off for awhile or playing that alt you always wanted to level.  Allow yourself to make a clear decision when leaving the guild - we don't want to lose good players to emotional outbursts.

Gkick: We reserve the right to remove you from the guild at any time
